Today I have been married for 24 years to my dream man. I'm not terribly worried about “the diet” today, but I'll still mostly follow it just out of convenience.
Down 5.0 pounds today. But, seriously, after 34 days plus the early week, that's not much progress. Yea, I could say, “Oh, I'm gaining so much muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.” But, since I've been working out regularly—almost daily—since 1981, my muscles haven't been too far out of commission.
I'm going to make a real effort to be strict on the eating this week and then I'll probably be doing a lot of what Heather suggested in the comments. We're packing for the move this week, but not going out much. That should help, heavy physical labor and no restaurants.
Next Monday Sam turns 50, so that will be another celebration day, but then we're done with the string of birthday celebrations. Until my dad's whopping 80th party on August 24, anyway.
