Prescription Addiction

An anonymous reader writes:

Please help!!!!!! My son is 22, & has just returned from the Air Force with a neck, back, and shoulder injury. He has become addicted to painkillers. They are heroin based, my doctor said, and are harder to quit than cocaine. Is there a church affiliated program? I need help and fast. He is begging me to find him a treatment center. VA has a six months long waiting list. He has no insurance and I cannot pay a huge amount.

Kathy says:

Oh, you betcha! It's a great, awesome, miraculous 12-step program called ADAM, based on the Book of Mormon but patterned after the infallible model of Alcoholics Anonymous. Bet there's one in your ward or, if not, your stake. Call LDS Social Services. If they don't have one going now, they need to start one for your son. Let's tackle this beast while we can still win!!!
