Chosen Me

[While in the car with the kids, discussing how it was 12:12 on 12/12/12.]

Samson (12): Oh! When is the next one?

Mom: We won’t have another one like that until 1:01 on 1/1/3001.

Monica (15): I don’t think we’ll still be here then.

Mom: I don’t plan to be here. I’d be almost 140.

Monica: I mean, I don’t think the world will be here.

Mom: Don’t you?

Monica: “Chosen generation,” mom.

Mom: Yea, well I’m the “chosen generation,” too, and I’m almost 50.

Monica: Yea, but we’re super chosen. Don’t deny it.

:-D

For a good take on what “chosen” means, try this comment over at the 100 hour board.

Much better response that I’d tend to expect from 100 Hour Board! :)
