Seems like a sweet and gentle disciple.
and a very intelligent man with LOTS of experience living and working with evangelicals in the South on charitable endeavors
To me, that might be the biggest reason for the inspiration behind the calling.
I think he will be a great apostle. His Swenson family (his mother’s side) are old time settlers of the Manila area of Pleasant Grove, Utah. That’s also where much of my heritage is and I know many of his family members – wonderful people.
He presided over one of our stake conferences last year and seemed like a wonderful person.
I was impressed with what I heard of the press conference after he was sustained, and with his talk this morning.
Me, too. Did anyone else notice the introduction for his wife? They called it a “joint calling”?
