Alison, These sound delish!. Just so I have it right. Are the pretzals you are talking of about 1 1/2 in in diamter, hard crunchy salty pretzals?
I'm a lover of white chocolate and am thinking of trying this with white choco chips, if I can't find white kisses. I'd probably have to cluster several chips. Do you put tin foil on the baking sheet? Or spray with pam?

Yes, they are just regular, small, hard pretzels. If you can find the waffle kind, it's best.

You can use just about any chocolate, just watch baking time REALLY closely to make sure of the time for whatever you choose. If you overbake, the chocolate gets hard and grainy.

I didn't use foil and I didn't spray. Clean up was easy. :)

Yum, indeed! I love these things - you get sweet and salty, soft and crunchy, and chocolate. What could be better?! :hungry:

Made them yesterday with Hershey's hugs (white and brown striped) and valentine's colored M&Ms. Those took about exactly two minutes to melt properly.

Fortunately (for my waistline) they were easy to give away!

They are the best when made with hugs or even the kiss truffles... oh man, craving them now

Truffles? Haven't tried those. Are they gooey chocolate filled or something?

I saw the cherry cordial kisses but worried they would just run all over.

I'd probably like dark chocolate the best. But thinking it might even work with those mini Reese's? I know some use Rolos (that's the "caramel-filled chocolate" in the recipe).

They are not gooey, but softer chocolate? Yes, soooo yummy

ohhh rolos would not leave my house, so no go on trying those out
