Molly Christensen
Molly Christensen was born in upstate New York in May, 1972. At the age of 4, her parents were baptized in the backyard swimming pool. At the end of first grade, her parents made the decision to move to Zion, so they ended up in the beautiful Heber Valley in 1979. It was there she was raised with her four siblings in the greatest place to be a kid—they had a mountain for a backyard and a huge front yard complete with a tree house overlooking a small stream.
At age 17, she was off to BYU. She met and married her math class study partner, Don Christensen, in August 1992. Don graduated in Mechanical Engineering a few months before Molly graduated with the same degree, so you might suspect the Christensen household is very logical but also creative. After living in Florida, New York, and Colorado, they moved back to Happy Valley (aka Orem, Utah) in 2003. They homeschool their five wonderful children—Casey (12), Carli (10), Spencer (5), Abby (3), and baby Kate.
In her "spare" time, Molly loves to read, sew, downhill ski, work on the computer, and start writing new books (without finishing them). Contrary to a popular misconception (perhaps due to her name), she does not bake seven loaves of bread a week, she does not have all her children's scrapbooks up to date (or even close), and she often has mountains of dirty clothing overtaking the laundry room.
Molly welcomes you to her web site, Mathematical Musings.
