Jeannie Vincent

Jeannie Vincent was born and reared in California. Singing was her childhood hobby. She legitimized this hobby in 1971 when she graduated with a degree in music education from BYU. It was there she met and married her best friend and singing partner; Lawrence Vincent. The couple have three sons; Todd, Ethan and Zachary who, along with their wives and children, never cease to amaze and teach her. She has spent more than half of her married life in Trier, Germany and Vienna, Austria where Lawrence was under contract as a principal operatic tenor.

Jeannie and Lawrence have formed a solid musical partnership. Their operatic concerts have taken them to Japan, China, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, and United States. She and her husband have also done many missionary concerts for the Church throughout Europe and Asia. In 1994, the couple was awarded Austrian citizenship for Lawrence's "extraordinary contribution to the Arts."

Having had a close family member die of AIDS, Jeannie has also been very pro-active in community and school education in this area. She was invited to be the keynote speaker for AIDS awareness week in Vienna in 1996.

Her favorite things: watching her sons grow up, marry, and bring her the grandbabies. She also enjoys horses and...good country western music.

When invited to participate in Circle of Sisters, her comment was: "Whoa, they must be desperate for comic relief!!"
